Embracing Your History was created to help people reclaim the stories that shaped them—especially the ones that have been forgotten, overlooked, or deliberately erased. At the heart of our work is a belief that family history is about real people, not distant names. These are lives marked by struggle, resilience, love, and survival, and their stories still echo in who we are today.

     We believe every person deserves to know where they come from. Every family has stories worth honoring, even when those stories are messy, incomplete, or difficult. Genealogy should be inclusive, accessible, and human—not just charts and dates, but context, meaning, and connection.

     Our work is especially grounded in giving voice to those who are often left out of traditional historical narratives: the working class, immigrants, marginalized communities, and ordinary people who did extraordinary things simply by living through their time. We strive to create a space where people feel seen rather than judged, and where discovery becomes a tool for belonging, identity, and understanding.
